Vickie Blackburn

Photography started at an early age for me. When I was about ten, I picked up my first low/bad quality digital camera, and found I loved taking pictures. After years of experimenting with that, I decided this was something I was very interested in and something I plan to stick with for a long time. But, at this age, I wasn’t aware that photography could be my way of expressing myself through arts, and of course, not aware that I could live from it. So, I first studied music and drama. After years playing tuba in a stage band, and being in many plays, I gave a try to photography, and got more and more interested in. At 17, I decided to study it, seriously.

I started working professionally at the age of 19. From now, I am mostly interested in portraiture. I love to work with models, and of course, with a team, if I have the chance of. I usually do all the work on my pictures, starting with a concept, putting together a scene, going through the makeup, doing hair, setting up the lights and taking the picture.

I am a 22 years old photographer.
I am currently working and living in Quebec City, Quebec. Over the last few years I have been lucky to meet and work with inspiring creatives in the art and photography industry. I have been working as a freelance photographer where I try my best to take on new clients on a weekly basis.
